A Chinese Hongmu mother of pearl inlaid and marble inset daybed, 19thc. The three panel backrest with central cartouche shaped marble inset panel flanked by oval inset marble panels flanked by sides inset with shaped marble panels above a rectangular solid paneled seat over a scroll shaped skirt. Raised on cabriole legs ending in claw and ball feet. Elaborately inlaid overall in mother of pearl with Chinese figures, birds and animals, amidst blossoming vines.
