A pair of 19th c. Chinese Hongmu lounge chairs. A lovely graceful design, still used today as a model, each slightly curved sunken paneled backrest with shaped crest and rounded stiles flanked by curving open armrests over a paneled seat open at the sides. The curved rounded front legs joined by stretchers and intersecting the horizontal rear support.
